Boys and girls,

Attention please, there will be an English speech contest held by city TV station on Oct 4th 36.According to the requirements, students in senior one and senior two can entry the contest. Different kinds of topics are welcome, but should be written by your own and each school is allowed to enter 5 names for the contest.

Aftereach school is tried, our school is going to hold the tried on Sep 25th. Those will be good for your spoken English. Pls don't hesitate to enter your names. Thank you.

In order to make our school life colorful and improve our English skills, we’re going to hold an English Play Show at 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 10th. in the meeting room, No.2 Teaching building, At the English Play Show, we can not only enjoy other’s plays and speeches, but also sing songs and play games. What’s more, our foreign teacher Mike will give a talk about how to improve oral English.

Notice

The students of Senior Grade One and Grade Two will go out for a visit on April 25. We'll first go to the museum to see an exhibition of Man and Nature. When you’re in the exhibition hall you should keep silent and make careful notes because we’re going to have a discussion after we come back. After that we plan to visit the botanical garden on the Quanshan Hill and have a picnic on the top of it. So please bring lunch and some drinking water with you.

Our school bus will take us there. The school bus will leave at 7:20. Please gather at our school gate at 7:00 a.m.

Those who want to take part in the activity should sign up for it at the Students’ Union before Thursday.

May I have your attention, please? About sixty Australian students will come to visit our school on June 15. We’ll meet them at the school gate at 8:30. We’ll take them to the meeting-room, where a get-together will be held. After that, we’ll show them around our botanical garden and the school-run factory. At11:00 there will be a basketball match on the playground. They’ll leave our school at 12:00.

Please be friendly to them. We must talk with them in English.

A meeting is going to be held in Room 103 of Building 3 at 7 on the evening of April 5. Problems to be talked about at the meeting include the safety of the dormitories, proper use of electricity, what to do in case of fire, prevention of theft and so on.

A member of each dormitory is required to be present. They should take notebooks with them and arrive on time. They should take notes carefully and after the meeting they are to inform their roommates of what is discussed and what measures will be taken.
