On May 12th ,a powerful earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter Scale has attacked the village which was called Wenchuan in Sichuan Province.
I surfed the Internet from morning till night to see what were happening in that place. I fell very distressed that when I saw the pictures .The whole villages were wiped out by the terrible earthquake. Hundreds of people lost their lives or were rendered homeless. But fortunately, millions of people home or broad have given freely in response to the appeal for the victims of the earthquake.
I hope all of us can try our best to help the victims out of this terrible disaster as soon as possible.
China is a great nation ! Chinese are all great people ! Great Chinese must defeat all the difficulties they meet at last !

In the sound of the whistle, the May meeting of rain and tears. Nowadays, many people spend a lot when wedding. that’s partly because a bigger variety of wedding ceremony services than ever is available today. people can choose between a traditional chinese style wedding and a western style one, while there are also wedding dress service, wedding, wedding photo service, and wedding party service and so on. if a couple wants to have a memorable ceremony, they have to pay a big amount of money.
People hold different views on this. some say that wedding is the most important affair in one’s life, so it should be taken seriously. it is also a good chance to express the couple’s gratitude to their family members and friends. while others say that spending too much on wedding would be extravagant. besides, like many other service industries, the wedding ceremony service companies are making too much money on couples.
In my opinion, couples should pay attention not to spending unnecessary money on their wedding. learning to be economical is very important in life.

The Games of the 29th Olympiad in 20__ are awarded to the city of Beijing.
The International Olympic Committee selected the Chinese capital as the 20__ host in Friday's vote during Juan Antonio Samaranch's last IOC session as president. The attraction of staging the Games in a country which has the world's largest population, as well as huge economic potential, won the IOC's heart.
Beijing defeated four other bidding cities, including Toronto and Paris, to secure the country's first-ever Olympics. Osaka was the first city to go out, and it only took one more round for Beijing to win the Olympic race.
The announcement, read out by the 81-year-old Samaranch, was answered with wild jubilation from the Chinese delegation in Moscow, and with fireworks in Beijing. IOC senior member Kim Un-Yong said after the voting that Beijing deserved the Olympic Games.
Beijing is capable of staging a great Olympic Games, said the 71-year-old South Korean. The result wasn't a surprise to me.
With the motto New Beijing, Great Olympics, Beijing promises to host a Green Olympics, a Hi-tech Olympics and the People's Olympics.
The 3,000-year-old city is becoming a truly international city and showing a new, vigorous image through its ongoing economic reforms.
Beijing enjoys the widest popular support among the five bidding cities. A Gallup opinion poll commissioned by the government showed 94.9 percent of the public in favor of it. The IOC's own surveys found support even higher. The Chinese government has pledged to spend 20 billion U.S. dollars building sports complexes and refurbishing the Beijing infrastructure. There are plans for a new exhibition center with twin skyscrapers that could be taller than any in the world.

Last summer, my friend asked me to go to his hometown to spend the summer vacation. I asked my parents for permission and they said yes. When I got to his place, I was so surprised because there was a beach near his house. It was so beautiful, many kids played there. The water was so blue under the sunshine.
It was so fun to swim in the water. In the morning, I woke up early and took a walk along the beach, and I could hear the sea water’s coming voice. I saw a lot of people traveled here and took pictures. In the evening, when the sun was down, we played the games and sometimes we swam. It was such a good memory for me. I liked the leisure lifestyle. When summer comes, I will always think of the happy days in the beach.
