Why do we choose to go to the middle school? Some people say that we can learn many basic knowledge in middle school, while others say that only we go to the middle school can we study further in the university. They both are right, but I think the most important is during the middle school, we can learn to study. Study is a lifelong matter. Going to the school is the basis of study, because it can bring us knowledge as well as give some instructions to study. Compared to the whole life, the years in shcool seem short. We will visit the summer Palace on Wednesday, May 4. The Summer Palace is the largest well-kept royal park in China. In the park there is water and man-piled hills. There are some royal buildings and a gallery, too. I am sure you will be struck by its beautiful scenery. In the morning we will be free to visit the different places of the Palace and then we will have lunch in the fast-food restaurant. We will get back to the hotel at half five. Failure is a common thing in our daily life. For example, sometimes we fail to pass the examinations. On other occasions, we are defeated in sport games. And there are times when we fail to do more satisfactory work. So it is safe to say that every one of us must have encountered failure of one kind or another.
失败在我们的日常生活中很常见。作为学生，我们有时在考试中得不到高分。在我们和其他人比赛时，有时会输。还有的时候，我们总做不好事情。所有这些失败都很自然，我们每一个人都有类似的经历。
However, different people have different attitudes towards failure. Some people lose heart when they come across failures. They seem to think that it is the end of the world. Others, on the contrary, don't take failure seriously. They seem to think that failure is first step to success.
然而，面对失败人们的态度却截然不同。一些人失败后变得灰心丧气，似乎世界末日到了;一些人不拿失败当回事儿，听之任之;还有一些人却从失败中学习东西，从而从失败中能看到希望。
In my opinion, what really counts is not failure itself, but our attitude towards it. If we are afraid of failure and yield to it easily, we are bound to have one failure after another. But as long as we have confidence in ourselves and learn something from failure, we'll certainly go from victory to victory. So I'm never afraid of failure, or I firmly believe that "failure is the mother of success."
在我看来，重要的不是失败本身，而是我们对待失败的态度和失败之后我们的行动。只要我们不放弃，相信自己，并从失败中汲取营养，我们最后一定会取得胜利。因此，我从不害怕失败，因为我相信失败并不是坏事。相反，“失败是成功之母”
