一忌，一遍过思想
有这样的想法的人，实在不在少数。但不得不说，这种想法实在是太天真了。试想，传说中的“gre考试词汇”(请注意，实际上是没有这个概念的，只是国人总结出来的大致范围)大约有10k-20k，按照每个单词平均5个字母来说，就有50k-100k的数据量——对于人脑来说，这是不可想象的。
来举一个例子。这些单词的字母是随机重复的，和圆周率“π”的小数部分差不多。于是工作量和你背诵5万位(至十万位)的圆周率差不多。而且，这还不算上要分析单词之间的逻辑关系，纯粹是记忆这些字母的工作量。
二忌，只记中文意思
首先你要知道，英文单词，并不是中国人的语言单元。那么，在翻译成中文的时候，不论你的水平多么高，总会有或多或少的误差。而在gre这个逻辑考试面前，这一点的误差，也许就是你一道题的得失，继而也许是你能否拿到Ad，或者Offer的差别。
然后你要知道，gre考试词汇不是背诵比赛，背它，是要理解他。比如有个单词的意思，叫做“卡其色”。这三个汉字你都认识，你要是没见过这种颜色，没人告诉你，你知道他是什么意思么所以，这样记忆，不如直接将其当做是一种颜色。
