GRE单词的备战是个复杂的过程，同学们要做好充足的准备，记忆单词不能靠死记硬背，要讲究记忆方法，那么在复习单词之前要制定一份GRE单词背诵计划，这样在复习单词的时候就能有所方向有所目的性，这样复习起来才会有明确的思路，那么每个人的个人情况不同，要根据自己的实际情况去制定适合自己的GRE单词背诵计划。
新入门的考生想要背诵新GRE词汇，就可以从核心词汇入手，制定GRE单词背诵计划，再熟悉词汇之后，利用其它的GRE词汇书扩大词汇量。有了一定的词汇量，无论在做阅读、还是听力的时候都会游刃有余，相信一定能取得GRE的好成绩。
背单词的时候一定要发挥主观的能动性。我背单词的时候就会进行联想 ，联想背过的同义词和反义词，我就会翻到我背过的那个词确认后写到现在背的单词旁边，有些单词我最后可以写出5~6同义词，同样学会用词根的方法对词进行拆分也会有力于记忆，最好制定一份GRE考试单词背诵计划。

1.认识到熟练掌握GRE词汇对于攻克GRE考试的重要性。
熟练掌握GRE词汇是GRE考试成功的一半!要攻破GRE词汇这个堡垒，毅力两字是根本，还要有GRE单词背诵计划，记忆GRE词汇从来没有输在智力上的，只有输在毅力上的!在背词汇期间绝对要心静如水，要善于给自己打气，善于调节自己的情绪。
2.绝对不要打持久战。
背词汇“时间越长记得越牢”的想法在GRE考试中行不通，时间不允许是一个方面，效果也不见得好。GRE词汇必须要在两个月内过关。在这两个月的时间内，熟练掌握的词汇至少要达到80%以上，不熟的词汇可以通过反复做真题来弥补。这就需要做好周密的计划，精确到每天的工作量，每天记忆词汇的下限是200个，学有余力者可根据自己的实际情况适当增加。一定要按时完成，完不成绝不罢休。
当然，这个要求需要你有GRE单词背诵计划，在这一阶段，你就应该寻找最适合自己的助记方法。一般来说，词汇储备在2000个词左右时，一星期至少要抽出一天半的时间来复习;词汇储备在4 000个词左右时，一星期至少要抽出两天半的时间来复习;当词汇储备达到6000以上时，一星期至少要抽出三天的时间来复习。这里并不是说拿出一整天的时间来复习，而是累计时间。
3.计划和方法结合。
备考GRE词汇时，方法几乎和计划同样重要，只有好的计划和好的方法相配合，才可能有事半功倍的效果。
