　　Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Storyis one of my most favorite movie, tellingthe motivational story of a Harvard girl Liz Murray. Liz has a tragic childhood.Her parents took drugs and she began to beg at her eight. When she was fifteenyears old, her mother died of AIDS and her father entered the shelter. However,she was not degenerate but, when she was seventeen, she finished four years ofhigh school courses in two years and got the 1996 The New York Timesfirst-class scholarship, admitted to Harvard. This film is a wake-up call, expressinga poor suffering girl who changes her life with perseverance, faith and strongwillpower, showing the theme that once you work hard, you can achieve. I amdeeply moved by this film and the story of Liz. I think I can feel her weaknesswhen she was in trouble and hardness, but all she does proves that she wouldnever be struck down by the reality. She always owns the faith that she canchange her life by herself. I think it’s a faith that we should have, too.

　　The film of a Haver girl’s experience is an educational film.It helped people who were hopeless.

　　I learned from the film that we should have a determination.And as a saying goes.”Success grows out of struggles to overcome difficulties.”So we must believe ourselves.

　　First of all,according to Lize’s attitude,we can know that you cannot choose what you are given,but you can choose how you make use of it.Because of Lize’s labor,she succeeded at last.So we can know that,”genius is nothing but labor and diligence.”

　　In addition,Lize’s family and friends also gives her a lot of help.For example,her parents gave her love and her friends gave her happiness.And so on.But the most important factor is that she had a strong will——she wanted to let impossibility become possibility.

　　That to say,we cannot forget importance of the strong will.It goes without saying that that great hopes make great man,as a saying goes,”nothing is difficult to the man who will try.”The film also told us a meaning——we should make good friends.

　　Generally speaking,an advantage of friend is that they can have an influence on your success.So we must make friends cautiously.What impressed me must is that she is alway studying hard,working hard,and so on.So I think it is quite necessary to learn her advantages.

　　From my point of view,Lize’s advantages are worth learning.As far as I am concerned,we also have a dream or a regular goal to strengthen a sense of direction.This is the first time that I have felt so guility and regret.

　　Last but not least,it is worthwhile learning Lize’s advantages and making friends cautiously.And the good friends are to yourselves what hearts are to animals.So it is essencial that you should make good friends to help you.I think I can do it for the following reasons.So it is strongly recommended that we must build a goal or set up a dream to encourage ourselves to learn better.(刘乙淼)

　　Today I will give a speech about the film Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story!

　　If there are really a movie that can’t be missed, I think it is this. I felt I was so lucky when I finished watching it because this film really gave me much.

　　She is called Liz, she is not a normal person like her families, at least she herself holds this opinion. Her parents are both drug addicts ,at the same time ,her mother is a drunkard(酒鬼). No one can talk about his or her birth with the God, including Liz. She was born in a family with no money, no hope or anything else about happiness. She has never been cared for by her parents! Even she usually has no food to eat, no clothes to change, let alone books to read. But she does not hate them at all, for all of her life. In this film we can see how she loves her families. She takes care of her sick mother at an age that she should be taken care of. As she says, it seems that her mother were more like her baby.

　　After her mother’s death she decides to go to school instead of escaping life. She knows that one must try her best to do well as long as he/she is alive. She faces the choice and she does the right one.

　　Some people live just to survive(有些人活着只是为了生存) but she doesn’t. She wants to change the condition and she knows working hard can make it come true, so she does. And she succeeds.

　　Some of us may meet some difficulties which can’t be talked with Liz’s at the same time. But we can see how many gave it up. We could submit to everything that is happening and live a life of excuses but we could also push ourselves and make our life better(我们可以为自己寻找各种借口对生活低头，但也可以迫使自己创造更好的生活). Sometimes we just need the courage to say that we have no choice but being successful, the courage to say that we must try harder to win more respects, the courage to say that I am gonna to work as hard as I possibly can, and see what will happens!

　　Compared with Liz, we are lucky enough. We have good physical condition and environment. We have no reason to let anyone down. Liz is optimistic , she feel that she is lucky because she has no security, no other ways to choose, so she has to go ahead! Maybe we give ourselves too much room to escape. We need to question our heart: What’s your dream? How do you plan to live your life? Have you really tried your best? Why can’t you make it while others can?

　　今天，我看了一部非常励志的电影，名叫《风雨哈佛路》非常感动。

　　故事讲得是主人公丽斯的母亲酗酒、吸毒、患上了艾滋病，在不久后死亡，她的父亲应为酗酒被送到了收容所，脾气暴躁的外公也不肯收留她，她只好睡在大街上，可她并没有放弃学习，仅用两年的时间就修完了高中四年的课程，获得了纽约时报的奖学金，考上了改变他人生的一流大学― ―哈佛大学。

　　丽斯的精神感动了我，她是那么的坚强，只依靠一本捡来的百科全书，没地方睡，就睡在地铁站，没东西吃，就吃别人丢下的东西，再看看我们，有美好的生活，还 不好好学习，我们真应该向丽斯学习，所以大家一起加油吧!

　　主人公丽丝，出生在美国纽约的一个家庭中，他的父母酗酒，吸毒，母亲还患有精神分裂症和艾滋病，她拼命维持自己的那个已经破烂不堪的家.但这家还是破碎了，她被迫流浪，每日靠偷东西，吃别人丢弃的食物为生，睡在地铁车厢里。当母亲因艾滋病死亡时，她深受感触，知道自己不应该沉沦下去，她要做一个正常人.她重新找了一所学校上学，她用二年时间完成了四年的课程，并以第一的好成绩申请到了奖学金，以自己独特的见解和经历进入了哈佛大学。

　　跟主人公比起来，我要幸福得多，但却没有她那种不放弃，不认输的精神。我的学习劲头也远不如她，地球离了谁都会转，但我们可以改变自己，我们要睁大眼睛去看清世界，用意志改变自己。

　　母亲去世的那一天，丽兹没有哭，也没有应朋友的邀请回去教养院，母亲的去世像几个巴掌打在她的脸上，她曾经照顾过的“孩子”去世了，她迷茫、混沌，终于，她背着书包，穿越大大小小的街道去了一家公立学校。她要变强，她要去外面的世界，她要过幸福的生活!谁说在黑暗里成长就会没了明天?谁说她不可以过新的生活?“我很聪明，我可以改变我现在的生活，改变我的一生。我需要的只是这个机会。”这样的自信与勇气又有几人在经历了一系列变故后，依然可以平静地说出口?

　　母亲去世了、爷爷拒绝收留、父亲进了收容所、朋友回到了教养院……丽兹失去了一切?不，还有她自己，她要开始照顾自己了。她很聪明，更很用功，全级第一的成绩是她在地铁、在夜晚、在课堂……在她所能用的所有时间换来的，她对老师信心满满地说她要用两年时间学完高中四年的课程!她做到了，她做到了常人很难做到的事，她通过竞争获得了奖学金、进入了哈佛，但她最终选择离开哈佛，她相信她可以很好地走自己的路，她也一定可以做到吧!

　　丽兹是镜子，是所有学子的镜子——也许，不知不觉地，自己变得骄傲、懒散、甚至在学习中堕落了，一切的一切，并不是没有发生，只是自己不曾知道而已。过去的一年，忙碌吗?我不知道该怎样回答。如果答案是肯定的，那么，那么多浪费的时间在慵懒里怎样度过了呢?那些不以为然的时间又去哪儿了呢?如果否定回答，那一年的努力又去哪了呢?因为没有坚持比别人更强的意志力，像一条尾巴拖在班级的最后。现在的今天，终于有了目标，终于明白了一切，“不要以为世界会随你的意志而改变，因为别人的意志比你强大得多。”未来的未来，一切的一切，渐渐明朗。
