万圣节是西方的传统宗教节日,在孩子们的眼中,这是一个充满神秘与欢乐的节日。为了让学生感受万圣节氛围,培养学生学习英语的兴趣,10月31日万圣节前夜,_小学一(7)班举办了英语主题课堂活动。
八点不到,身穿奇装异服的孩子们就早早到校,装扮成公主、恐龙、女巫、蝙蝠侠、蜘蛛侠等有趣的角色,仿佛卡通人物集体“穿越”而来,教室走廊瞬间成了欢乐的海洋。在Miss Wu的带领下,队伍巡游到小媒体室,紧接着分成8个小组开始上课。
课堂上,孩子们首先通过动画视频了解万圣节的由来和意义,并学习相关的英语知识,如象征物、习俗、祝福(南瓜pumpkin,南瓜灯Jack-o’-lantern,蝙蝠bat,幽灵ghost,蜘蛛spider,黑猫black cat,猫头鹰owl,吸血鬼vampire,女巫witch,不给糖就捣蛋Trick or treat,万圣节快乐Happy Halloween)。
紧接着是小组游戏竞赛的浸入式教学,学生们全神贯注,高举小手,争先恐后地展示所学知识,努力为自己所在的小组加分,课堂气氛欢快热烈、高潮迭起。
最后十分钟的讨糖活动是本次活动的高潮。比赛过后,打扮得鬼马而不失可爱的孩子们悄悄转移到一年级办公室和英语办公室,沿途满是孩子们天生的淘气和稚嫩的童真。伴随着声声“Trick or treat”(不给糖就捣蛋),小宝贝们从老师手上收获了五颜六色的糖果,办公室里洋溢着欢声笑语。随后,一(7)班的孩子还送上真诚的祝福“Happy Halloween”(万圣节快乐),在活动中学会感恩、学会分享,心满意足地回到了教室。
本次万圣节英语主题课堂活动别开生面,孩子们下课后还意犹未尽。活动中,孩子们学会了竞争与合作,收获了知识与快乐,感受了万圣节氛围,学会了万圣节礼仪,深刻体验到英语的无穷乐趣。
